Disappointment. That is certainly what we are all feeling after that mess of a Jags game yesterday. Disappointment that after two amazing weeks with big wins against tough teams, we lost in a shut out yesterday to a team we should have beaten. Believe me, I was one of the fans with my head in my hands, staring at the TV in disbelief, play after play. But the reality is that losses happen and as much as we hate to see a game like we just did, we can’t and will NOT give up on our team. I am not making excuses about how we played, what went wrong or the fact that every play seemed to go awry.

Yes, I am really disappointed in how we played against Seattle. But I have to say what I am most disappointed about are the comments I read online last night. I was really bummed to see that some of my own friends wrote things on their Facebook pages like “It’s official…the Jags suck” and “Wow? Are the Jags really this bad?” and “The NFL should demote the Jags.” We didn’t see those comments after the Houston or Tennessee games when we seemed unstoppable and everyone was riding the wave of our winning streak. Comments like that really set us back in our efforts to keep the momentum going and cheer on our hometown team.

How are we going to continue to support our team and boost attendance if fans truly feel that way? Sure we can get ticked off at bad plays, stupid errors and an overall horrible game…but, what we can’t do is give up. Win OR lose, they are the Jacksonville Jaguars–our team. And unless WE, as fans, shape up and continue to support them, we may not be as lucky next year.
